Mr. Arafat’s farm is nestled in the Somara Highlands, located between Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and Taiz Province.

Blessed with abundant rainfall during the rainy season, the Somara Highlands provide an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. The region’s fertile soil and favorable climate contribute to the production of high-quality coffee, crafted with techniques passed down through generations.

As the current head of a coffee-farming legacy spanning over 150 years, Mr. Arafat carries forward his family's deep-rooted tradition. His family is among those with the longest history of coffee cultivation in Yemen.

Though his harvest remains small, he carefully tends to approximately 2,000 coffee trees, dedicating his life entirely to coffee farming.

This coffee boasts a truly unique and complex flavor profile, revealing multiple layers of taste that reflect the rich heritage behind it.
