Overview of the production area
Yemen Mocha Haraz Shams. Shams means "Sun" in Arabic language. It is a product carefully selected from the coffee of farmers in the Haraz area where Mr. Ghalib and Mr. Abdo and Mr. Mohammed are. The area where they live is high altitude and the sun feels very close. Like their coffee, which is lit by the bright sun, this product is named with the hope that it will illuminate and spread in Japan and around the world widely. In addition, although it is a natural method, this product has a very bright acidity. It's a coffee that is bright like the sun and make us warm while drinking it.
Yemen is the only coffee-producing country in the Middle East. The main language spoken is Arabic, with 99% of the country being Muslim. Coffee is one of the major agricultural products in Yemen, with 300,000 farmers. Many farmers make coffee cultivation as a family business, and each has an acre. It belongs to the so-called small-scale farmhouse.
Haraz is located in the highlands northwest of Yemen, with an altitude of up to 2400m and a cold region. The area around Haraz is rich volcanic soil. In general, Haraz coffee is a coffee with flavors of raisins, fruity acidity, smooth body, and after-flavor like chocolate, and is famous as a production center for good quality coffee among Yemeni coffees.
