Ali Hakam Yemen Mocha Coffee (Gold Series)

This remarkable coffee comes from the village of Jarma, located high in the mountains of Haraz, Yemen. It is produced by Ali Hakam, a young and dedicated farmer who represents the next generation of Yemeni coffee producers.

Ali learned coffee farming from an early age, guided by both his father and grandfather. Through them, he inherited generations of knowledge, traditional cultivation methods, and the patience required to grow exceptional coffee in Yemen’s challenging mountain environment. Today, he continues this family legacy while also teaching his two young sons about coffee farming, ensuring that the tradition will continue into the future.

In his village, many coffee farmers are already in their 60s and 70s. Ali stands out as one of the younger farmers who has taken responsibility for maintaining and improving his family’s farm. His attention to detail during harvest is exceptional. He carefully selects only the sweetest and perfectly ripened cherries, picking them by hand despite the demanding labor required in the steep mountain terraces.

Grown at elevations reaching 2,400 meters, this coffee develops slowly in the cool mountain climate. Even with the traditional natural sun-dried process, the cup reveals layers of fruit complexity, vibrant sweetness, and a long, elegant finish.

Each sip expresses the dedication of a young farmer preserving Yemen’s coffee heritage.
